Plymouth Phoenix Girls Football Club was formed in September 2015 by parents and coaches who wanted to create an all-girls youth football club, the only one of its kind in Plymouth.

The Club has started to grow nicely and is aiming to be coaching girls from school year 2 to adult football. This is a work in progress, but with a dedicated committee, whose drive, determination, and will to succeed, I believe that the Club will achieve its dream.

We currently have over 50 girls taking part in training from 5 years old to 14 years old and have teams at U8, U10, U12, and U14 for season 2022-2023. The current teams play in the Devon Girls League:- the Under 10’s take part in monthly festivals and friendly matches whilst the Under 12’s play competitive 7 v 7 mini-soccer matches and the U14’s 9 v 9 matches in the Under 14 division.

We have 10 members on our committee which also includes a Child Welfare Officer.

The coaching staff have a great many years experience of playing football and are all FA-qualified coaches ranging from Level 1 to Level 3. Their ethos is to promote girls’ football and to give the girls the best possible learning environment to develop their life skills as well as their football skills.

The Club enters various tournaments throughout the season to give the girls a chance to compete against different clubs and playing styles to broaden their learning and development.

League: from 5 years old to 14 years old
