On a momentous occasion at the House of European Football in Nyon, UEFA revealed the stunning UEFA Women’s Nations League trophy during the finals draw. This unveiling marked a significant step in the buildup to the highly anticipated tournament, adding to the excitement surrounding this inaugural event.

The trophy, standing at 60cm and weighing 10.5kg, embodies elegance and prestige with its meticulously crafted silver design. Adorned with engraved lines creating an ergonomic and balanced form, the trophy symbolizes unity and progression within European women’s football.

Its unique design tells a story of ascension, representing the journey of nations through the three leagues, culminating in the elevation of the triumphant winners. Comprising 51 sections in its main frame, the trophy’s final four modules rise proudly, symbolizing the 55 UEFA member associations and their collective pursuit of excellence in women’s football.

Scheduled for its first lift on February 28, the trophy eagerly awaits the touch of the inaugural winners of the UEFA Women’s Nations League, among whom France, Germany, the Netherlands, or Spain will etch their names in history as the pioneering champions.

Nadine Kessler, UEFA Managing Director of Women’s Football, expressed her enthusiasm for the tournament’s impact and symbolic significance, stating, “A spectacular competition deserves a spectacular trophy, and we believe this is it.” Her words echoed the sentiment surrounding this exciting moment for women’s football in Europe.

The draw for the finals produced compelling match-ups, setting the stage for thrilling encounters:

    Semi-final 1: Spain vs. Netherlands
    Semi-final 2: France vs. Germany

The winners from these captivating single-leg semi-finals will progress to a single-leg final hosted by the victors of semi-final 1. Meanwhile, the bold teams facing defeat will engage in a third-place match hosted by the defeated team from semi-final 1.

Adding to the tournament’s significance, the finalists will secure coveted berths in the 2024 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament alongside automatic qualifiers France, who host the Olympics. Should France reach the finals, the third-place team will seize the remaining slot, further intensifying the stakes of this inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League edition.

As the stage is set and excitement brews, football enthusiasts eagerly await the grand finale of this historic tournament, ready to witness the birth of a new champion and the legacy of this prestigious trophy.
